This subsystem allows
system users to process applications to type approve radio equipment.
The aim of the type approval certification process is to verify the compliance
of radio equipment against the radio standards established and/or adopted
by the Administration. The Type Approval Certification performs four (4)
main functions: application processing, recording of equipment testing
results, authorization, and certificate management.
Application processing
consists of capturing data about the following business objects:

Once data entry is
completed, the equipment is sent for testing at a recognized testing facility
(this step is outside of AFMS). The test results are recorded and the
application authorized.
