SPECTROCAN has developed and maintains a very close relationship with the Spectrum Engineering Branch of Industry Canada, which is the radio spectrum regulator in Canada. The relationship is formalized through a Technology Transfer and License Agreement.

SPECTROCAN is a member of the Development Sector of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU-D). SPECTROCAN is also an active partner and collaborator in the International Telecommunication Union's Centres of Excellence Program in Africa.
