For the Malaysian Communications and Multi-Media Commission (MCMC, formerly
JTM), SPECTROCAN provided a radio frequency management and monitoring
system. The system included automated and integrated mobile Data Collection
Vehicles and Spectrum Observation Surveillance vehicles, as well as
a comprehensive and wide-ranging program of training courses. The second
phase of the project consisted of expanding the system's network, upgrading
the hardware platform, upgrading the software functionality, and designing
a monitoring vehicle. An upgrade of the system was delivered in 1999,
and as a result of this successful delivery, MCMC contracted Spectrocan
in December 2000 to embark on an expanded project scope, including product
customization, training, SME support, and a Technical Analysis-GIS add-on
module. In 2001 CMC and SPECTROCAN signed a five-year maintenance and
support contract. From July to September 2002, SPECTROCAN provided electromagnetic
compatibility (EMC) analysis and AFMS training. From September to November
2002, SPECTROCAN provided consulting services in radio monitoring. In
September 2004, SPECTROCAN participated in the migration to Windows
2000 Advanced server and Oracle 9i database. SPECTROCAN also delivered
the new integrated Technical Analysis-GIS tool. From October to December
SPECTROCAN provided basic and advanced training.
