SPECTROCAN was awarded a complete automated spectrum management project by the Telecommunications Authority of Lesotho. This project was a first step major upgrade in national telecommunications facilities. The scope included: spectrum management software (AFMSLITE) and hardware, a full GIS component, data conversion, data collection vehicle, with radio monitoring equipment, upgrade of fixed monitoring sites, seamless interface between the AFMS and the monitoring system, spectrum management consulting, transfer of technology and training, and system customization. The acceptance tests and the final commissioning took place in April 2004 From April to late August 2004, SPECTROCAN provided training of the whole system. i.e. AFMS and radio monitoring equipment. In September 2004 and February 2005, SPECTROCAN provided professional services in support of AFMS as well as on-the-job training.
